I felt I needed even more R&R after all this training so after dinner, I went to the cinema. I hoped there might be a film about swimming but there was nothing on. Just my luck. When you need Titanic, you get Avatar. But my mates said Titanic might just have scared me away from water forever anyway.
So, we decided to watch Alice in Wonderland in the end. Some kids walking by the canal had talked about it and it sounded as if it was a Must-See. Could have mentioned the scary cat with the huge mouth in advance though. Wasn't exactly happy to see that thing on the big screen. Even a brave, fit duck like me can get a bit scared being confronted with predators like that.
The trip to the cinema has inspired me though. Once I've succeeded with swim training, I'll pursue my acting career. If Arnold Schwarzenegger can do it...
About Me
- Dunkan Duck
- I’m Dunkan. I’m a duck. I don’t quack but I do blog and tweet. Sadly, neither do I swim but I’m getting there. Here’s my motto: "A duck can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done." I WILL learn to swim. I MUST!

My Typist is going to see that tonight. I wonder if I can go with her. I will look out for that cat if I do.
ReplyDeleteDid you watch it after all? What did you think? Ugly thing this cat, isn't it?
